JOB SUMMARY

The Fuel Station Attendant is responsible for a variety of duties related to the daily operation of the fuel station such as providing customers with full serve pump services, managing till and in store purchases and filling propane tanks. The Fuel Station Attendant must be flexible and able to prioritize each day as directed by the Area Manager. Positive and professional communication with all departments and customers is required. You are also responsible for keeping complete records of all necessary information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  

  • Oversee general operation of Card Lock facility
  • Perform card lock general maintenance / escalate major issues to Management
  • Preform daily cleaning and general upkeep of facility
  • Complete daily and monthly site inspection reports
  • Assist Customers with filling propane tanks
  • Ensure all Yard administration duties are completed daily.
  • Follow all legislated and company safety procedures and regulations
  • Utilizes computer systems to run databases to keep up to date on customer account information
  • Use of Kard Poll to maintain customer accounts
  • Provides customer service, accepting payments, distributing credit applications
  • Responds to customer inquiries, maintains good customer relations and solves problems
  • Performs related clerical duties, such as scanning, maintaining filing and record systems, faxing and photocopying.
  • Stay current with all regulations, practices, reporting requirements and industry trends
  • Perform monthly inventory count and send report to Edmonton Lubricant Manager
  • Ordering of Lubricants and Dyes
  • Performs other duties as required.

EXPEREINCE

2 years’ experience in a customer service roll

EDUCATION

High School diploma or GED equivalent

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a field/retail setting.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, odors, fumes and oils may occur
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and listen
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Wednesday through Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
