The Lubricant Sales Representative is responsible for lubricant product support and sales, focusing on building our blended lubricants business within the mining, construction, agricultural, forestry and fleet industries and more.
Source and develop customer opportunities within and new customers
Establish and maintain new and existing account sales forecasting models
Prospect for new leads
Achieve sales quotas by creating new, profitable sales volume for the company through a focused expansion of the customer base
Develop and propose customer solutions utilizing our vast product and service offerings
Relationship building with new and existing customers
Research lubricant customer opportunities in multi-location, multi region customers
Communicate and mentor non-lubricant AFD sales to drive lubricant sales
Provide fuel opportunities from lubricant only customers
Work and manage to closure customer bidding requirements – RFP’s
Responsible for lubricant customer biddings are met and delivered in timely manner
Effectively communicate with regional territory managers regarding lubricant customers within the respective regions
Responsibility for profitable tank solutions and delivery to lubricant customers
Assist in the creation of a customer value file program
Maintain high level of customer service
Assist account receivables when required in reconciliation of timely lubricant accounts
Maintain and account for CRM documentation
Work closely with other management on pricing and delivery of lubricants
Maintain current knowledge of competitor and industry activity to capitalize on market trends
Assist when required the marketing of brand and services to lubricant customers
Identify and participate in tradeshows as required
Perform and manage sales activities in a professional and proactive manner, while maintaining a Business Code of Ethics and meeting or exceeding targets
Drive new and profitable lubricant business through cold calling, networking, internal and external leads, existing customers and other associated methods
Remain knowledgeable on the current Lubricant trend and ever-changing certifications and properties
Ability to suggest product crossovers by brand
Maintain and adjust budgeted revenue expectations.
Complete various sales reports.
Manage corporate customer bidding requirements
Liaison with customer from start to finish of implementation
Liaison with sales team regarding corporate customers
Ensure compliance with AFD’s standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
OTHER KEY SKILLS (or product knowledge)
Strong knowledge of SCM systems, as well as Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
3 – 5 years of direct work experience in lubricant product support and warehouse management function or supply chain management position.
High school diploma required
