JOB SUMMARY

The Tank Millwright  is required to perform tank maintenance  identify and complete repairs on petroleum storage units from minor to complex. Regular service of equipment is required.  As a Tank Millwright you will be a part of  the planning process, brining ideas and contributing to improving current systems . The Tank Millwright position highly impacts other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of the work being completed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  

  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on fuel storage equipment in a shop and field environment
  • Work as part of a team to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance program
  • Prepare work orders and other necessary paperwork and documentation according to Company and customer requirements
  • Repair, maintain, install, and trouble-shoot problems with mechanical and electronic equipment
  • Maintaining a clean driving record and producing a drivers’ abstract upon request
  • Meet scheduling and on-call requirements (service calls, customer service etc.)
  • Ensure proper maintenance is conducted for Company tools, equipment and vehicles used
  • Meet Company, Customer and Legislative safety standards (i.e. personal protective equipment, equipment/material handling etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
  • Work with minimal supervision in remote locations alone and sometimes with no cell service.
  • Ability to set up and operate all machines common to the trade and ability to operate equipment.
  • Outstanding work ethic with exceptional discipline, attendance, and safety record.
  • Mentor technicians to help build strong/knowledge support team for shop and tech advancement.
  • Willingness to take initiative and strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

 

EXPEREINCE

3-5 years’ experience in a warehouse/technician capacity

Valid Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license or other trades with equivalent experience

 

Strong welding experience

Basic electric skills

Hoisting and rigging experience

Experience in pipe fitting and asset

EDUCATION

High School Diploma

Valid Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license or other trades with equivalent experience
